Alastair Steel - (Principal Polonious) Has 24 years of management experience, gained during his time at the NSW Police Force, working in investigations for several major insurance companies and as the owner of a private investigations business.

For 15 years he has been passionate about the design of Management Software and the need for a simple system to manage, track and analyse data in realtime in order for businesses to make the best possible decisions.

Alastair was also involved in working parties for the development of several IMS systems in the NSW Police Service including Taskforce Investigation Management Systems and COPS an Intranet based IMS. Then as a State Investigations Manager for CGU and FAI, and as a Director of a large private investigation company, Alastair developed another three proprietary databases and a feature rich proprietary IMS system.

Stuart Guthrie - (Principal Polonious) Has 24 years experience in software development. He has managed IT departments and led development teams of up to fifteen people. With corporate and medium to large clients, Stuart has worked in a range of languages including COBOL, 4GLs such as Speed II, APPX, Progress and Java.
His clients have included the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Sims Group, IMAN Medical Insurance, DeBortoli Wines, iTree Software, the BBC, Mercedes Benz and the RTA.

During the past 7 years Stuart has specialised in Open Source software and has developed calendaring applications and reporting tools.

Zachary Zeus - (Principal BizCubed) Has 8 years doing consulting, process design and business intelligence deliveries to small and large organisataions. The majority of that time was spent working in a fortune 50 company in the US.

During that time he has focused on deploying information to people at times and in ways that make decision making simple, straightforward and intuitive. This has been through analysis of reporting processes, delivering board level scorecards, and integrating business intelligence software into business processes.

Employee Focus: Danny Li (Team Leader)
A graduate of Beijing University in Aeronautical Engineering Danny met his now wife online (who was in Sydney at the time). Danny moved to Sydney and completed a Masters in Computer Science at UTS and has now settled in Australia. Polonious is proud to be part of this story.

Employee Focus: Mingyuan Mu (Java / MDX Programmer)
Mingyuan Mu (Ming) Graduated from the Xi’an University of Technology in Electronic Information Processes and then worked in Large Machine Production software and testing. He viewed Australia as a great opportunity to further his knowledge and has since completed his Masters in Computer Science here and joined Polonious. We are proud to be part of Ming’s story.

Employee Focus: Jia (Armstrong) Liu (JAVA / J2ME Programming & CMML expert)
Armstrong studied at Beijing Polytechnic where he completed his degree in Computer Science but chose to move to Sydney to complete his studies and obtain his Masters of IT. At all interviews we ask applicants to demonstrate their passion for IT and to our surprise Armstrong chose to demo an incredibly advanced first person shooter. The loss to the gaming industry was our gain. His keen interest and ability with J2ME will prove invaluable in the future as we move to mobile computing interfaces.
