Tonight I spoke at the enterprise workshop on my experiences as a course participant.
The course was the best I have attended. Ever. This was mainly due to the quali
ty of the lecturers, mentors and panellists the course has put together.
My talk covered the major benefits of the workshop to business people or potential business start ups these include:
- Building a plan and checking it from every perspective.
- Using the workshop to help avoid potential train wrecks.
- Gaining confidence in your plan through the rigour of the panel challenging it.
- Gaining confidence to talk to financiers.
- Having structure in your approach, challenging your own assumptions, improving on them.
- Filling the knowledge gaps in your business background using the array of business expertise in the lecturers, mentors and panellists.
I also talked about our experiences with social media and internet marketing including some tips for finding your audience, getting them interested in your content and improving your outcomes.
