Business Process Management Award for major improvements in profitability at Austhealth.
In 2009, Polonious were awarded a Silver in the World BPM Excellence in Practice Awards (Asia/Pacific). “Coming second to a huge Indian outsourcing company is a real feather in our cap” claimed Stuart Guthrie, General manager of Business and Technology.
The award was given for the work with Austhealth over a 3 year period. We worked with the management team of Wendy Phelps and John Braithwaite to make gains through continual productivity improvements.
These improvements enabled Austhealth to move to a level 2.5 times more productive than their equivalent health providers. The immediate impact of this was a healthy profit margin. Instead, as is the case with most insurers, their employee costs continuing to chase down their growth in sales.
